Nick Wells

Nick joined Whistl (formerly TNT Post UK) in 2001 when he sold his direct marketing business to TNT.
Nick led the management buyout of Whistl from PostNL and has overseen the growth of Whistl to nearly £1bn in revenues for the Group, making Whistl the largest private logistics business in the UK.
From entrepreneur to corporate executive back to entrepreneur again, Nick has gained valuable insight into how to be successful and grow a business.
Married with three children, he sometimes has time for golf, skiing and the odd glass of wine!
Nigel Polglass
Chief Operating Officer
Nigel graduated from Lancaster University with a Master's in Business Administration.
Nigel joined Whistl (formerly TNT Post UK) in 2008 as MD of TNT Post London, which he took from start-up to £55m of sales in three years. Before Whistl, Nigel held senior positions within market-leading and multi-national companies, including Ceridian Corporation, Hays PLC and the Royal Mail Group. Nigel was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Whistl in 2013.
Nigel is married with two adult children.
Manoj qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers and subsequently went on to senior, international finance and commercial positions with Cable & Wireless. Before joining Whistl, Manoj held similar positions in private equity-backed companies.
Manoj is married, has a daughter and enjoys swimming and going to the gym.
Andy is the Managing Director of our Mail services. Andy initially joined Whistl on secondment from Express Dairies, where he was their Head of Home Delivery. Before this, he was Client Director and Head of Home Shopping and eCommerce at Royal Mail and ran their door-to-door business. He was previously in the Royal Logistic Corps and achieved the rank of Lt Col before retiring in 2006.
Educated to degree level, Andy graduated from the Institute of Direct Marketing and is a Fellow of the IDM. Andy is married with two children; his hobbies include property, running and the occasional round of golf.
Mark joined Whistl in 2003 and occupied several vital sales roles before becoming MD of the DDM business. President of ELMA (the European Letterbox Marketing Association), Mark also represents the company on the DMA print council and regularly speaks on the doordrop industry in the UK and across Europe.
Before joining Whistl, Mark spent ten years seeing the world in the travel and leisure industry and has lived and worked in Santa Barbara, Boston, Amsterdam and Barcelona. Mark is married with two young children and lives in Oxfordshire. He still enjoys travelling, writing and squash.
Before becoming HR Director, Lynn was Operations Director within the Doordrop Media business, a role she held for 11 years. Lynn joined the industry in 1986 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience across the mail industry. Passionate about creating a culture that strives for continuous improvement to help build strong, productive relationships with our customers.
Lynn enjoys travelling to exotic and undiscovered parts of the world and loves music and theatre.
Charles is responsible for developing Whistl’s corporate strategy, including the relationship with Royal Mail and the legal and regulatory environment in which the business operates. Charles joined the Whistl Executive Board formed following the MBO in 2015 and has worked for various companies in the mail industry over the last 30 years. He brings vast media planning and data analytics knowledge to help develop and enhance our direct mail and doordrop media services.
Charles lives in Kent with his wife, Cally and has two grown-up children. Charles spends his spare time playing tennis and going to the gym, and he has a taste for Spanish and Italian wines.
Jason is responsible for designing and implementing Whistl’s IT strategy, ensuring that customers have a seamless experience and that the business continues to lead through technology innovation. Jason’s experience includes senior technology roles in the banking, telecoms, utilities, BPO and retail sectors for corporate enterprises, including Lloyds Bank, Coutts Bank, the Post Office and SME firms.
When relaxing with his wife and two children, he enjoys travelling, skiing, reading and mountain biking.
John graduated from University College London with a degree in History and completed a Law conversion and post-graduate qualifications in law. He qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and spent the next eight years working in private practice on commercial and transactional matters for various corporate clients, from start-ups to blue chip PLCs.
In 2011 John was seconded to Honda Motor Europe as interim Head of Legal and then to Whistl (at the time, TNT Post) before joining the business formally in 2012. He became Head of Legal in 2014 before becoming Director of Legal and a member of the Executive Board in 2019. John is a commercial and corporate law specialist and provides strategic legal, risk management and compliance advice and support to all of Whistl’s businesses. As Company Secretary, he is also responsible for the corporate administration and legal and regulatory governance of the Whistl Group.
John is married and lives in the Oxfordshire countryside. He enjoys running, hiking, opera, theatre, and researching his interests in history, economics and psychology.
Gareth joined Whistl in 2014 as Director of Procurement. He has previously held procurement leadership roles across various sectors, including positions at Bupa and Legal & General. Gareth is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchase & Supply (CIPS), has a degree in Management Studies, and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade.
Gareth specializes in the transformation and development of suppliers and supply chains. In addition to procurement, he has responsibility for the development of the Whistl property portfolio and fleet management.
Married with two children, Gareth coaches rugby and football, goes to the gym and enjoys music and cooking.
Director of Operations (Mail and Parcel Business) Dave joined Whistl in 2014, undertaking several Operational Leadership roles, including Head of Operations, before becoming Operations Director in October 2019.
He has played a central role in developing our network and supporting and developing our teams to deliver industry-leading service to our customers.
