Whistl Ranked Tenth in Latest Thames Valley 250 Listing
The Whistl Group has been recognised as the tenth largest privately-owned businesses in the Thames Valley, as ranked by annual sales turnover.
Compiled by The Business Magazine, the latest Thames Valley 250 listing is a celebration of achievement that comprises a broad cross-section of independent organisations headquartered within the region.
Since its launch over 20 years ago, we've transformed from being the UK’s biggest Downstream Access provider, handling more than 50% of bulk business mail, to offering integrated fulfilment and parcel management services, alongside eCommerce marketing solutions. The Group operates across Great Britain and Northern Ireland, while working with customers on a global scale.
Headquartered in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, Whistl is ranked amongst a prestigious list of organisations, including Ocean Partners, the AA, and the CALA Group.
What is the Thames Valley 250?
The Thames Valley 250 only features companies that are independent and headquartered in the Thames Valley region, predominantly comprising Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
Cumulatively, the 250 companies included in the 2026 edition have an annual turnover of around £43bn and create an impressive 165,000 jobs, while contributing significantly to the area's economic output.
As part of its annual appraisal, The Business Magazine also hosts its own Thames Valley 250 awards ceremony. In 2025, we were delighted to win the Climate and Sustainability Award for our ongoing work to reduce emissions, and wider execution of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. Other categories include the Fast Riser Award, given for considerable year-on-year growth, as well as Leadership Team of the Year.
