It’s been a glorious summer for Whistl Doordrop Media with our team celebrating a string of award wins at the DMA Summer Celebration and Silver Marketing Awards.

Whistl Doordrop Media Named Marketing Service Provider of the Year

The Data & Marketing Association (DMA) Summer Celebration brought together brands, agencies and marketing service providers for “an afternoon of connection, recognition and celebration.”

And so it proved with Whistl Doordrop Media awarded the prestigious ‘Marketing Service Provider of the Year’ award following Gold, Silver and Bronze wins in the Unaddressed Print and Door Drops category at the 2025 DMA Awards.

This latest accolade reflects the team’s expertise in the channel and further validates our creative and data-driven approach to geo-targeted leaflet advertising.

The Doordrop Media team collected the award in front of a packed audience, with the iconic surroundings of the Honourable Artillery Company acting as the backdrop to the inaugural event.

Silver Marketing Success for Best Print Campaign

Hot on the heels of the Summer Celebration came the annual Silver Marketing Association summit and awards.

Before the prize-giving, Whistl Doordrop Media’s Susie Idle formed part of a panel to discuss why trusted media still delivers, especially when targeted at an older audience.

Then it was onto the awards with former Blue Peter host and Silver Marketing Association patron, Anthea Turner, announcing the winners.

We were delighted to take home the Gold prize for Best Print Campaign, awarded for our work for Good Life Sorted (in conjunction with PASHN).

Good Life Sorted is a provider of elderly care services, with a requirement to improve upon previous door drop campaigns. By working with our specialist team, they enhanced targeting, creative and distribution, resulting in a 300% uplift in response rates.

For the same campaign, Whistl Doordrop Media was also Highly Commended in the Best Direct Mail (Non-Travel) category.

Driving Impact with Door Drops

As highlighted in an interview with Managing Director, Mark Davies, Whistl Doordrop Media has been at the forefront of changing perceptions and evolving the approach to unaddressed mail.

Door drop campaigns are data-led, accountable, and trusted, with the ability to reach up to 30m UK households.

And in a world of digital distractions, the door drop often outperforms online advertising in terms of its ability to grab attention. Research from the Joint Industry Currency of Mail (JICMAIL) highlights that the average item is read or interacted with for 57 seconds and remains in the home for 5.6 days.

Crucially, the door drop channel is also performance driven and measurable. For example, JICMAIL’s 2026 Response Rate Tracker highlights a 4:1 ROI for door drops.

However, marketers should not make binary comparisons with digital or other formats.

The fact is door drops act as a powerful multiplier when used in combination with other channels.

The Value of Super Touchpoint Planning report (DMA & JICMAIL) shows that combining door drops with television advertising is 45% more effective than the average campaign in generating brand, response and business effects. Meanwhile, door drops x social is 22% more effective.

If you want to reach your audience at home, where key decisions are made, then get in touch with the team to discuss your next campaign.
