Whistl’s Mark Davies at International Doordrop Media Congress
The Managing Director of Whistl’s Doordrop Media Division, Mark Davies, spoke at the 1st International Doordrop Media Congress in Amsterdam in September 2015. The Congress provided the first ever event dedicated to the discussion of Doordrop Media, on an international level.
Representing the European Letterbox Marketing Association (ELMA), Davies discussed what digital consumers think about the channel, and took part in a panel discussion about the future of marketing.
In the run-up to the Congress, Davies had said: 'In a marketing world where many traditional media are struggling to retain their share of advertising budgets, Doordrops demonstrate their worth through performance. A winning combination of reach, impact and engagement make this the channel of choice for consumers and retailers alike.'
Pan-European Doordrop research released by ELMA showed that across 18 key markets, Doordrop Media demonstrated resilience compared to other media, despite recent economic downturn. The channel remains a preferred method of retail marketing with an estimated 105 billion items received by consumers last year, and plays a key role in the customer journey to store or online.
