Whistl Retains its JICMAIL Platinum Partner Status

As champions of the mail channel we're always looking at the ways we use data to make campaigns more effective.

So we're delighted to announce that Whistl Mail and Whistl Doordrop Media have retained their JICMAIL Platinum Partner accreditation for another year, underscoring our continued commitment to data-led advertising mail.

This certification is the highest accolade received by the Joint Industry Committee for Mail (JICMAIL) and is only awarded to organisations that demonstrate they have fully embedded JICMAIL data across their business operations.

Whistl Demonstrates JICMAIL Excellence

JICMAIL delivers industry-standard audience measurement data for Direct Mail, Partially Addressed Mail, Door Drops and Business Mail.

This includes quarterly results on the average time spent with mail, the lifespan of mail items in the home, and key insights around mail recycling rates. 

Both our Mail and Doordrop divisions achieved Platinum Partner reaccreditation after demonstrating outstanding expertise and practice in planning, measuring and evaluating mail campaigns with JICMAIL data.

As part of this process, we were required to showcase our proficiency with JICMAIL beyond its basic application. This included evidencing how JICMAIL data has been embedded across L&D programs and routinely applied across the planning, sales and data ecosystems. Also key to earning Platinum status is supplying case study evidence that JICMAIL is being systematically used to retain or grow business.

Our Platinum Partner status was further reinforced by the entire Whistl Mail sales team successfully completing the top tier Gold training certification during 2025.

Advertising mail is the third largest media channel in the UK, worth an estimated £1.1bn annually. JICMAIL provides the same metrics for mail that are available for other channels with the platform regularly used to help plan media campaigns.

What is the relationship between Whistl and JICMAIL?

The Whistl Group has partnered with JICMAIL since its inception in 2018, and is joined by a host of key industry bodies, businesses and advertisers that utilise the mail channel.  

Whistl Doordrop Media first earned Platinum Partner status in October 2021, with Whistl Mail following in November 2023. 

As the UK's largest Downstream Access provider, we continue to support and shape the mail channel and both our businesses and customers have benefitted from the introduction of JICMAIL data for media planning. 

Having established the first joint currency for mail, JICMAIL now provides data on crucial elements of the mail journey to over 320 accredited subscribers.
